Fair enforcement
Warnings first where appropriate; escalating action for repeated or severe violations.
1. What Is Not Allowed
The following content is prohibited on Account AB, in public posts, Circles, messages, and profiles:
- Harassment, bullying, targeted abuse, or hate speech directed at a person or protected group
- Threats of violence or content that encourages self-harm or harm to others
- Non-consensual intimate images or sexual content involving any person
- Doxxing — publishing another person's private identifying information without consent
- Content that sexualizes minors in any way (reported immediately to authorities)
- Fraud, scams, spam, or deceptive commercial promotion
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights
- Impersonation of another person or organization
- Malware, phishing links, or attempts to compromise other accounts
2. Reporting Content
Every post, comment, and profile on Account AB includes a report option. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Submitting knowingly false reports may itself result in enforcement action.
3. How We Enforce
Depending on severity and history, enforcement may include:
- Content removal
- A formal warning
- Temporary suspension of posting, messaging, or Circle access
- Permanent account termination
- Reporting to law enforcement where required by law
Severe violations (such as threats of violence or child-safety content) may result in immediate termination without a prior warning.
4. Copyright — DMCA Takedown Notices
If you believe content on Account AB infringes your copyright, send a written notice through the Support Center with the subject line “DMCA Notice” that includes:
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The URL or location of the allegedly infringing content on Account AB
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
Incomplete notices may not be processed. Knowingly misrepresenting that content is infringing may expose you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
5. Counter-Notices
If your content was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice through the Support Center with the subject line “DMCA Counter-Notice” including:
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- Identification of the removed content and where it appeared before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., for any judicial district where Account AB may be found)
- Your physical or electronic signature
Unless the original complainant files a court action, we may restore the content 10–14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice.
6. Repeat Infringers
Account AB's policy is to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers.
7. Appeals
If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you may appeal through the Support Center. Include the content or action in question and why you believe the decision was wrong. Appeals are reviewed by a different moderator where reasonably possible.
